Tokyo Base access and parking guide
The meeting point for Tokyo rafting and Tokyo canoe / packraft tours is River Joy Mitake Base in Ome, Tokyo. There is no private parking at the base, so we recommend coming by train. If you come by car, please check the parking area near Tannawa Enchi before you leave.

Important
Meet at Mitake Base
Train recommended
Parking is self-arranged
Please confirm the base location and parking route before joining a Tokyo tour. During busy weekends and holiday seasons, nearby parking may fill up.
Train is easier
The nearest station is Mitake Station on the JR Ome Line. River Joy Mitake Base does not have a private parking lot.
Arrive early by car
If you come by car, please allow extra time and find parking yourself before walking to the base.
Do not park on private land
Please do not park on private property or in another business's parking lot. River Joy cannot take responsibility for parking trouble.
Walk carefully
After parking, you will walk from the riverside area back to the base. Some parts are close to traffic, so please take care.

Follow the photos in order
These photos show the route from the main road to the parking area, then the walking route back to River Joy Mitake Base.

Pass River Joy first
When driving from Mitake Station toward Okutama, River Joy will appear on your right. Do not stop here. Keep going.

Turn left near Minshuku Mitake
After about 100 meters, you will see Minshuku Mitake. Turn left onto the road that goes down toward the river.

Do not park on the right
The parking area on the right belongs to another business. Go down to the left toward the river.

Continue down to the left
This area is also not for River Joy guests. Please continue down toward the riverside.

Go straight down
Follow the road down toward the river. The parking area and private areas are separated from this point.

The first open space is private land
It may look like a parking area, but it is private property. Please do not park here.

GreenMom parking is not available
This parking belongs to Cafe GreenMom. River Joy guests cannot park here. Please continue further.

Look for the former Mitake Art Museum
When you see the former Mitake Art Museum, you are close to the available parking area.

The blue-marked area in the photo shows the parking area. Please check the range carefully.

The riverside area marked in blue is managed by Tokyo. Please make sure you do not enter private land.

Do not walk up private paths
Several paths look like shortcuts, but they are private. Please use the walking route shown below.

Walk with the river on your right
After parking, walk uphill with the river on your right. You can use the shortcut beside the brown building.

Go up here and turn left
Walk up from this point, then turn left. River Joy will be ahead.
Goal
Turn left at the road
You will reach a road with traffic. Please be careful, turn left and walk to River Joy Mitake Base.
